Both success and failure are determined by
your attitude: From something as simple as getting up in the morning to being
first, or being a leader, your success in dealing with the situation depends upon your
judgment (mental),
environment (physical),
and/or your conscience (spiritual). When you
feel that you have a good reason for quitting any bad habit,
your attitude is the most important thing. If you really don't want to quit, trying
to quit can be awfully hard and you will need a better motive
than "I want to".
Alcohol has the same effect as ether, only
alcohol is milder. It is a depression and an intoxicant, not a stimulant. It makes you
feel better by cutting off your health conscious. Society give information and detailed
reasons why one should not drink.

1. One drink can
destroy a brain cell that cannot be replaced.
2. A bottle of beer, a glass of wine and a shot of whiskey have
approximate the same amount of alcohol. It takes two hours time for this amount of alcohol
to leave the body for an average size person.
3. You can become an alcoholic without getting drunk.
4. Over half of deaths in traffic accidents each year had alcohol
in their blood at the time of the accident.
5. Approximate 40% of all non-traffic arrests each year are for
public drunkenness.
6. For each alcoholic, at least 10 people are harmed or affected.
eg. family, co-workers, community and yourself.
7. It may take a man 10 to 15 years to become an alcoholic, but
only 7 years for a woman. A Seattle, Wash. pediatrician has found that more babies are
born drunk and sick because their mothers are alcoholics.
8. Alcohol is the leading cause of cirrhosis. Other related
diseases are cancer, D.T's, pneumonia, convulsions and loss of sex drive. On the average,
an alcoholic's life span is shortened by 10 to 12 years.
9. Your attitude toward drinking, smoking and respect for each
other will be reflected in your children as they learn to accept responsibilities, pass
the buck, or get drunk!
10. No one can make you drink, no one can make you stop! The choice is
up to you, and your attitude will determine your altitude.

1. drink alone, 2.
take an unplanned drink, 3. look for the next
round, 4. can't remember what happened, 5.
need it to start the day, 6. be friendly, 7.
forget some things, 8. keep and protect a
supply, 9. plan time to drink supper, dinner, etc. 10.
promise to quit and don't, 11. deny being an alcoholic when
friends, family or co-workers complain, 12. drink to stop a
hangover, 13. have an uncontrolled shiver or shaking after a bout of drinking.

1. Recognize this problem - admit to
yourself (with your thoughts) that you need a Greater Authority's Power than yourself.
2. Decide to let this Authority's Power have full control of your life.
3, Be honest with yourself and check yourself out.
4, In the presence of another person humbly ask Him to remove your shortcomings.
5. Do only those things that you think will help others and promptly admit when you are
wrong.
6, Take problems to God and accept HIS ANSWER as that which is best for you. Any
other action will put you beyond the starting point.
